Overview
Join Parker Hannifin as an Administrative Assistant in the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness Division, Engineered Materials Group. Parker Lord’s Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. We hold multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP.
Position Summary
- Performs routine administrative and clerical functions under general supervision to support administrative, Leadership, Human Resources, and cross-functional teams.
- Completes tasks such as typing, filing, copying, transmitting data, ordering office supplies, scheduling appointments, and answering phones.
- Administers and manages the site visitor system, including entry, invitation verification, on-site check-in support if pre-registration is not completed, and weekly visitor communications.
- Coordinates meeting and lunch requests, including ordering, setup, and additional support as required.
- Arranges interview schedules, information packets, drug screens, employment tests, background checks for prospective employees; prepares employee files and orientation packets for new hires, and performs related administrative tasks for new hires.
- Uses the HRIS system to document applicants, hires, separations, and transfers and to obtain information for monthly reports.
- Supports Engagement Team initiatives and We Said, We Did Action Items.
- Prints and posts bulletin board information and maintains positive rapport with internal and external customers.
- All other duties as required.
Essential Job Functions

- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize with changing situations and a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established options.
- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
- Ability to complete tasks timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong customer relations skills to support daily interactions with internal and external customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) for drafting communications, scheduling, presentations, and reporting.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience
- 3 years of human resources, administrative, or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
