Position Overview
The HR Manager oversees all HR functions for the agency, focusing on caregiver recruitment, retention, compliance, and employee relations. The role builds culture, enforces policies, and aligns HR strategies with agency goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Develop and execute recruitment strategies, manage job postings, screen candidates, conduct interviews, coordinate hiring decisions, and oversee onboarding including orientation, paperwork, background checks, drug testing, and credential verification.
- Employee Retention & Engagement: Implement caregiver engagement initiatives, conduct satisfaction surveys and exit interviews, analyze trends, and propose solutions to reduce turnover and improve morale.
- Training & Development: Ensure compliance with caregiver training requirements, coordinate continuing education, and support office staff development through workshops, coaching, and performance planning.
- Compliance & Employee Relations: Maintain compliance with employment laws; maintain accurate records; manage investigations, corrective actions, and conflicts; enforce HR policies.
- Benefits & Payroll Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, support payroll processing, answer employee questions about pay and benefits.
- HR Strategy & Reporting: Track key HR metrics, provide recommendations to leadership based on workforce analytics; support agency mission by aligning HR practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Preferred: 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare, home care, or service-based industries.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and caregiver credentialing requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to balance empathy with firmness in employee relations.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS, scheduling software, and other management tech.
