HR Business Partner (Must have recruiting experience) – Ferguson Construction, Columbus, Ohio. This on-site position requires prior recruiting experience and reports to the HR & HRIS Manager. The role focuses on recruiting for construction trades and administrative office positions, along with regional responsibilities in onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, and HRIS administration.

Responsibilities

• Own recruiting for the Columbus region, including construction trades and administrative positions
• Passive candidate recruitment on LinkedIn; post jobs and manage interviewing, offers, onboarding, and orientation
• Daily interaction with employees in the office and on active job sites; support leaders and employees across HR functions
• Support corrective actions, onboarding, offboarding, service awards administration, and training
• Coordinate performance evaluations company-wide with regional HR support
• HRIS administration for onboarding and offboarding; manage metrics and reporting
• Campus recruiting: maintain relationships with schools, schedule events, coordinate Co-op and Apprentice hiring
• Update recruiting materials and campaigns with Marketing; manage ads and ATS/workflows
• Ensure compliance with state-funded training reimbursements and related initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Psychology or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a recruiter or HR Generalist performing recruiting
• Ability to work on-site in the Columbus office, 5 days a week
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; collaborative team player
