The HR Associate provides centralized HR Shared Services support, acting as a key liaison for employees and managers. This role handles a high volume of HR inquiries, processes transactions in Workday, and ensures compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations, including I-9 and eVerify requirements. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service skills, high attention to detail, and proficiency with HR systems in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees via phone and HR systems, creating and managing HRConnect cases.
- Resolve HR inquiries related to onboarding, offboarding, job changes, benefits, and leave management.
- Perform Workday data entry and transactions for employee lifecycle events.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, records retention, and employment verification processes.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support Open Enrollment, Leave of Absence, and employee data management activities.
- Collaborate effectively across HR, Payroll, IT, and Legal shared services teams.
- Identify issues and escalate complex matters to HR Specialists when necessary.
- Deliver consistent service excellence in alignment with company standards.
- 1-5 years of experience in HR, preferably across multiple functions such as onboarding, offboarding, HRIS, and benefits administration.
- Previous experience in a shared services or call center HR environment.
- Familiarity with I-9 and eVerify procedures and employment records compliance.
- Experience working with Workday, ADP, or similar HRIS platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
- Customer service and professional phone etiquette
- Data entry and accuracy in HR systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Calendar)
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Knowledge of Neocase, ServiceNow, Salesforce HR, or Oracle case management tools
- Experience with records retention protocols and HR compliance
- Confidentiality and discretion
