The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for assisting the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications. This position performs all necessary tasks to support the effective daily operations of department services and handles a high volume of work with minimal direct supervision.

Prepares and distributes medications in a timely manner.
Collects patient information and explains any insurance changes or complications.
Ensures pharmacists are aware of patient needs and prescription checks.
Assures orders are processed, dispensed, and delivered accurately and promptly.
Assists in billing processes and maintains knowledge of insurance changes.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
High School Grad or Equivalent
Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPHT)
One year of pharmacy technician experience, in a retail pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, central fill, or hospital setting OR completion of a pharmacy technician student internship at AdventHealth in a retail or hospital setting, in lieu of pharmacy technician experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience processing and filling prescriptions
3+ Retail Pharmacy experience, at least 3-5 years
Specialty pharmacy experience
