Head Start ERSEA Specialist
Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a
regular, full time (40 hours per week)
Head Start ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance) Specialist based at the
Administrative Office in Ullin, Illinois.
This position does come with a benefit package, including vacation, personal, and sick time accrual, holidays, health and life insurance, and an employer sponsored cafeteria plan.
This position works in conjunction with Head Start Management Team to ensure compliance with Head Start performance standards, improving Head Start for School Readiness Act of 2007, and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Licensing Standards for the ERSEA.
Qualifications: The applicant must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood, or related field. An "approved related" Bachelor's degree would be considered with at least 21 college hours in Early Childhood with experience in a Head Start or early educational setting.
Job Duties:
Plans, organizes, implements, and monitors all programming activities for the ERSEA service areas set forth by the Head Start Performance Standards under the direction of the Early Childhood Administrator.
Develops and maintains program plan, policies and procedures, and intake handbook related to ERSEA.
Prepares and coordinates annual In Take Training for staff. Provides training for new hires within 30 days of hire.
Coordinates and assists with recruitment of Early Head Start and Head Start children which includes providing annual training to staff, recruitment planning at each site, setting goals, providing reports and coordination of child find activities.
The applicant selected for this will be required to undergo a DCFS Background/Criminal Check as required by Head Start and Illinois Department of Children & Family Services.
