Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including light- and heavy-duty trucks, skid loaders, backhoes, pavers, and other construction machinery.
Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshoot components.

Perform repairs such as brake replacements, part installations, and system adjustments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.

Travel to job sites as needed to perform on-site repairs and emergency service.
Essential Skills

Experience with construction equipment maintenance and repair.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and mechanical systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Knowledge of heavy equipment, hydraulics, diesel, dozer, excavator, and pneumatic systems.

Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with Caterpillar and other heavy machinery.

Work Environment
This position operates within a shop environment and may require travel to job sites for on-site repairs and emergency service. The role is based on a 1st shift schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
