This position supports new product launches, troubleshooting production issues, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve operational goals.
This is a Direct Hire role onsite full time splitting duties on shop floor and office.
What you will be doing as a Manufacturing Engineer ...
- Analyze, develop, and implement improvements in manufacturing methods, process flow, tooling, and equipment.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and collect data from the ERP system to support improvement initiatives and monitor project effectiveness.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, scrap, or downtime issues.
- Participate in APQP, PPAP, and new product launch activities; ensure manufacturability and smooth transition to production.
- Design and specify fixturing, tooling, and layout changes as needed to improve workflow or quality.
Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production teams to resolve process bottlenecks or technical challenges. - Support capital equipment justification and installation, including development of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs).
- Track and report on engineering projects, downtime trends, and continuous improvement metrics.
- Ensure processes comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate and updated work instructions and process documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (die casting or machining preferred).
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process control, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Effective communicator and team player with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
