Job Description

The CSR will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service by managing shipments, resolving inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication between clients, drivers, and internal departments. This role is vital to maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting efficient logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries regarding shipments, delivery status, pricing, and service issues.
  • Process customer orders and coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Track shipments and proactively communicate updates or delays to customers.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, shipment details, and service requests in company systems.
  • Support dispatch and operations teams with scheduling, documentation, and order entry as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute shipping documents (BOLs, PODs, invoices, etc.).
  • Monitor performance metrics and assist in identifying process improvements to enhance customer experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, service standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably within a logistics, transportation, or supply chain environment.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with logistics or transportation management systems (e.g., McLeod, SAP, Oracle TMS, or similar) is an asset.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing top-quality service.
Working Conditions
