We are seeking a Waiver Enrollment Coordinator who is motivated to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve long-term wellness. With limited supervision from the Director, the Waiver Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for:

Monitoring OIDD Case Management Referral mailbox daily and processing requests for Medicaid Targeted and State Funded Case Management. Investigating Medicaid status and ensuring criteria for Case Management Type is met. Updating precertification date range on the CDSS. Reviewing non waiver assessment and plans including plan change requests to ensure service needs are justified based on information provided as well as ensure amount, frequency, duration and funding source are accurate on the plan. Serving as the Census Assistant for the American Printing House for the Blind Census Funds. Serving as point of contact for OIDD eligible clients seeking Case Manager provider services and responding to general case management questions. Participating and performing other duties as assigned by the Director in order to meet division expectations as outlined. BHDD-OIDD is a part of the state's behavioral health and developmental disabilities agency, providing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health conditions and substance use disorders through a wholistic, streamlined and coordinated approach. OIDD assists in the planning, developing, coordinating, and funding services for South Carolinians with the severe, lifelong disabilities of intellectual disability and related disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury and similar disability. Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelor's degree in health and human services field plus three (3) years experience with case management within the OIDD system.

Must have the ability to exercise judgment, discretion, maintain effective working relationships, interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Critical thinking skills and the ability to apply sets of criteria to various situations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills. Preferred Qualifications

Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within established time frames. Ability to work in multiple data systems and synthesize data from those systems in order to make decisions. Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Ability to prioritize job duties. Critical thinking and active listening skills. Ability to problem solve while incorporating different perspectives.

Immunization:

If this position requires the applicant to work directly with consumers of The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, tuberculosis (TB) skin or blood testing must be completed prior to beginning employment. All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, Varicella and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.

State Disaster Plan:

In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, employees of The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
