We are seeking a skilled and compassionate
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
to join a medical facility in Maryville, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting both
adult and pediatric
patients in a fast-paced clinical or private practice environment. This role involves direct patient care, clinical assistance to providers, and maintaining a safe and efficient clinical setting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare adult and pediatric patients for exams, documenting
vital signs, medical history, growth charts,
and
immunization records. Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, and diagnostic testing across all age groups. Administer
vaccines, medications, and injections
per provider instructions, following proper dosage and documentation protocols. Perform
venipuncture, capillary blood draws, throat cultures, urinalysis,
and other specimen collections for laboratory testing. Conduct
point-of-care tests (POCT)
such as rapid strep, flu, glucose, and COVID-19 testing. Accurately measure and record pediatric
height, weight, and head circumference
for developmental tracking. Provide
wound care, dressing changes, splint assistance,
and
nebulizer treatments
as needed. Maintain
clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms,
ensuring adherence to infection control standards and clinic safety protocols. Requirements: Minimum
1 year of experience with EPIC EMR system. Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
credential. Current AHA BLS certification. Prior experience in
adult and pediatric outpatient
or
private physician office
settings required. Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills with a patient-centered approach.
