The Junior Systems Administrator will assist in managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 administration, system support, and delivering high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This role works closely with the Systems Administrators to ensure up-time and enhance internal processes. They will also serve as a point of escalation for the Help Desk, providing level 2 and 3 support.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Administration : Assist in managing M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory. Support user account provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting within M365.

MDM/Microsoft Intune : Manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune through configuration policies, remediation scripts, win32 app deployments, and other tools available. Understanding of autopilot, Entra joined, and registered as well as device offboarding. Manage Apple Business Manager accounts and devices.

Networking : Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols such as IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN. Ability to apply knowledge to troubleshoot and set up multiple different vendor firewalls, switches, and access points under the guidance of Systems Administrators.

Email : An understanding of mail transport rules and the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world troubleshooting. Knowledge of anti-spam systems

Customer Service : Deliver exceptional support to employees and clients, addressing IT-related inquiries promptly and professionally. Communicate technical solutions in a clear, user-friendly manner to non-technical stakeholders. Document support tickets and resolutions in the company's IT ticketing system.

Collaboration and Documentation : Work closely with senior systems administrators and other IT team members to implement new technologies and improve processes. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Contribute to the development of user guides and training materials for M365 tools.

Security and Compliance : Assist in ensuring compliance with financial industry regulations, such as FINRA, SEC, or GDPR, as applicable. Participate in security audits and implement best practices for data protection and system integrity.

Qualifications

Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably in a financial services or customer-focused environment. Experience with Microsoft 365 administration is highly desirable.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD). Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN). Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools (e.g., antivirus, firewalls). Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote desktop support tools. MSP experience a plus Experience with SASE products a plus

Soft Skills : Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on empathy and clear communication. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required) : Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Administrator Associate. CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.

Working Conditions

This role may require occasional after-hours support for system maintenance or urgent issues. Hybrid work schedule with two remote days per week after first 30 days. Must be able to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality and integrity.
