Position : Psychometrician II, Measurement & Testing Work Location : 111 East Wacker Drive, Suite 2900, Chicago, IL 60601 (*Role located in Chicago, Illinois, must live within commutable distance of role location. Role is hybrid; on-site two days per week.)

JOB DESCRIPTION : Plans, coordinates, and performs statistical analysis for operational research and major projects (e.g., practice analysis and standard setting). Works independently on all phases of statistical and/or psychometric analysis on NCSBN’s examinations. Provides guidance and oversight to project staff on technical aspects of their work and mentors less experienced psychometricians. Represents organization's position on technical issues to clients, external boards and panels, professional associations, and other agencies. Accountable for basic and complex statistical design and analysis decisions related to statistical modeling and psychometrics. Ensures quality control of deliverables. Designs, develops and documents technical and operational procedures and statistical guidelines for assigned area. Assists with project development and monitors project budgets. Applies advanced knowledge of statistical procedures, psychometric methods and develops their own applications for custom model. Documents project reports/memos, analysis techniques, and contributes meaningfully to peer-reviewed research proposals and manuscripts. *Role located in Chicago, Illinois, must live within commutable distance of role location. Role is hybrid; on-site two days per week.

REQUIREMENTS : Must have a PhD, or foreign equivalent, in Educational Measurement and Testing, psychometrics, or related field. Must have 3 years of experience in job offered, Statistician, working with adaptive testing or related role. Must have gained experience, either through education of experience, with the following: Item Response Theory for item calibration, equating, and standard setting; Computer Adaptive Test Analysis; Differential Item Functioning; Statistical and psychometric programming languages: R, Python, SAS, and Winsteps; Academic writing.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS : The anticipated starting salary for this position is $107,598 to $126,565 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on a candidate’s relevant experience, skills, training,

certifications/licenses,
