Job Description Youth Care Specialist Autism Respite House:
St. Louis, MO Schedule:
This weekend position requires availability for evening and overnight shifts. It is a PRN role, with a minimum requirement of
(one shift per week) Experience preferred but not required Job Summary As a Youth Care Specialist, you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience. You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is great start to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields! Responsibilities Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including: Providing meals and snacks Assisting with personal care Monitoring medication Intervening in crisis situations Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including: Creating a positive and supportive environment Managing conflict Enforcing house rules Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients,
including:Attending
treatment team meetings Providing input on treatment plansImplementing treatment plans Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalency Class E driver's license with good driving record Strong customer service focus Excellent time management Oral and written communication skills Word, Excel, and e-mail applications proficiency Must be 21 years old to apply Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required Why KVC?
