The Position The City of Maple Grove is seeking Guest Services representatives who serve as a point of contact for the patrons of the Maple Grove Central Park. As a guest service representative, you will play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all visitors at Central Park during our winter season. This position supports seasonal skate rental operations. Staff members are expected to deliver friendly, efficient service while enforcing facility policies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth events and daily operations. 3:30pm-10pm Saturday-Sunday:
9:30am-10pm Monday-Sunday During ISD 279 Holiday Break:
9:30am-10pm Open to ages 16 and older

Starting Hourly Rate is: $15.85 Responsibilities
Greet and welcome visitors; provide information and answer questions. Assist with ice skate rentals, including fitting and sizing skates, distributing and collecting equipment, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the rental area, ensuring skates are properly sanitized and sharpened. Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance of facilities, concessions, and common areas. Respond promptly and courteously to customer service needs, including food and beverage requests. Operate the concessions area within the skate shop, including preparing and serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions. Receive and route phone calls, take and distribute messages when required. Report facility, equipment, or customer concerns to a supervisor. Arrive on time in appropriate uniform and maintain a professional appearance. Other duties as assigned by the Recreation Facility Supervisor. Coordinates efforts to ensure the City of Maple Grove is an equitable, inclusive, and respectful organization and supports the City's mission, vision, and core values. Demonstrates ability to understand and respect the diversity of customers and co-workers, effectively communicating with individuals whose first language may be one other than English. Knowledge of:
Basic math skills Operating a cash register Effective sales techniques. Effective communication skills, including with individuals whose first language may not be English. Ability to:
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, supervisors, and the public. Work under pressure and remain calm and pleasant under stressful situations. Strong customer service skills; able to serve diverse groups of visitors in a cheerful and professional manner. Ability to operate cash registers, concession equipment. Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions. Work in a moderately noisy environment. Operate or learn to operate concession equipment. Work a flexible schedule. Work in a moderately noisy environment. Lift 25 lbs or more. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a customer service, food service, or concession experience. Experience using cash registers and computers. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
Supplemental Information WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions: Work may be performed indoors (concession areas, offices) and outdoors (park facilities, events).
Physical Conditions: May be moderately noisy and physically demanding, requiring standing, sitting, lifting, and cleaning duties.
