WHAT YOU WILL DO: Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of
HiL systems
( dSPACE , NI, Vector, or similar). Define test strategies, test architectures, and automation frameworks for ECU validation. Perform advanced fault injection,
real-time simulation , and signal manipulation. Ensure accurate
model integration
(MIL/SIL to HiL) and interface with plant models. Debug and analyze communication issues on CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Automotive Ethernet networks. Design, develop, and maintain automated frameworks for MIL/SiL/HiL testing. Work with the development team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Evaluate and implement the best test automation frameworks, tools, and strategies to meet project needs and scale with the product lifecycle. Continuously improve the automation framework to enhance its reliability, performance, and coverage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and product management to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews, and share best practices to elevate the overall test automation capability of the team. Advocate for best practices in test automation and quality engineering. Identify areas for process improvement, propose solutions, and implement changes to optimize testing efficiency. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to test automation. WHO YOU ARE:
You have successfully completed your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, or a related field. You have 5+ years of experience working with
HiL systems
(dSPACE, NI VeriStand/TestStand, Vector CANoe/CANape). You have 3+ years of experience as test automation frameworks. You have strong knowledge of
automotive communication protocols
(CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet). You bring proficiency in
test automation scripting : Python (mandatory), CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink, or C#. You are experienced with
fault injection techniques and real-time simulation. Strong understanding of
ECU software development life cycle
and V-Model. You bring advanced familiarity with software testing and quality assurance techniques. You have excellent knowledge of GitHub and Git Ops workflow. You have extensive expertise in automotive communication protocols. You display knowledge of ASAM XIL. you are familiar with APIs usage and testing. You are familiar with the usage and integration of databases into test automation framework. You possess working knowledge of cloud-based simulation platforms and parallel computing techniques. You have experience with platforms to orchestrate the CI & CD process such as Jenkins, Red Hat Openshift, and Tekton. You have experience with data adqusition hardware for Hardware-in-the-loop testing. You have strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and how to integrate testing within Agile processes. Your English skills are solid, German and/or Spanish is a plus. You are willing to travel. You are legally authorized to work in the U.S. GOOD TO KNOW:
