Overview
Montefiore Medicine/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Neurology, is seeking M.D. new faculty hires at the Assistant or Associate professor level with interest in Cognitive Neurology and Dementia. A career path in research is not exclusive. General neurologists or neurologists with additional Fellowship in other Fellowships, clinical trialists, are welcomed for a dual role. The candidate should be interested in assessing patients with dementia including Alzheimer’s disease (AD), vascular dementia, and Fronto-temporal dementia (FTD). They will work with an interdisciplinary team at our Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's disease. The CEAD (Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease) is one of ten Alzheimer’s Disease Centers of Excellence supported in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Health. There is also interest in teaching and training medical students, residents, and post-doctoral fellows.
All applicants should be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology. Research and clinical mentors will be provided to guide early career Neurologists. General Neurologists with an interest in geriatric neurology are welcome. The level of appointment will be commensurate with credentials. Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Neurology department are nationally recognized for quality of patient care and provide clinical, academic, and research leadership in the region.
Compensation and Benefits In addition to a competitive salary of $220,000-$240,600, we offer the opportunity to supplement income with productivity incentives. Benefits include LTD, STD, paid malpractice, CME with stipend, health, dental, vision, and a 403(b) with match.
