We are seeking a
Data Center Technician
to support hands-on technical operations within a large, enterprise-level data center. The technician will perform
rack and stack , cabling, and hardware installation on servers and network assets. This role requires physical agility, teamwork, and attention to detail in a
fast-paced, mission-critical environment
supporting one of the leading financial institutions in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
rack and stack
and cabling work between cabinets for servers and network equipment. Install, test, label, and neatly dress
fiber and copper cabling . Terminate copper cables as needed and verify using Fluke cable testers. Reboot devices and provide general support for server operations. Lift and install devices weighing over 50 lbs. (with lift equipment and team assistance). Route cables safely in overhead management trays (working at heights up to 12 feet). Manage
asset inventory , shipping, and receiving of hardware. Participate in troubleshooting calls and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all work meets data center standards. Required Experience:
2+ years of experience working in a
data center environment . Experience with
rack and stack
procedures, cabling, and basic network/server hardware handling. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience with
Fluke cable testers
(highly preferred). Familiarity with
DCIM software
and asset management tools. Customer service or client-facing experience. Outside accreditations or certifications related to cabling or networking. Required Skills:
