The
Document Control Assistant
supports project engineers and clients by managing, reviewing, and maintaining
technical documents and engineering drawings . This role ensures proper
version control, document compliance, and accessibility
across multiple project platforms. The ideal candidate is
detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy , with experience in
engineering, construction, or industrial environments .
Key Responsibilities
Receive and review documents and shop drawings from engineers and vendors for accuracy and compliance. Upload and manage documentation across multiple client-specific platforms (up to five systems). Maintain
document version control , ensuring all uploads are current and properly formatted. Support engineers and clients by providing document access, tracking, and retrieval assistance. Archive, organize, and maintain both physical and digital records. Conduct periodic quality checks to ensure
data integrity and document accuracy . Adapt to evolving project processes and client documentation requirements. Collaborate closely with engineering and project management teams across multiple office locations. Required Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
required. Minimum
2 years of relevant experience
in document control, archiving, or research. Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) . Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn and navigate multiple document control systems. Excellent
attention to detail , organizational, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to
adapt to changing priorities
in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented with a customer service mindset. Stable work history with demonstrated reliability and commitment. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
Hexagon SDX
or
ACONEX
platforms. Prior exposure to
engineering, construction, or industrial documentation workflows . Familiarity with
data management systems , archiving practices, and document version control. Strong written communication and documentation standards experience. Required Skills
