General Summary This position is responsible for managing drivers to safely and legally service all required shipments in an efficient manner while managing risk and enforcing company policies. This position reports to the Director of Fleet Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Build loads from incoming communication via EDI, email, spreadsheets or other customer portal communications, set up and manage appointments Short Haul Dispatch: Manage drivers for day of loads, coordinate with Over the Road (OTR) drivers to subsidize short haul work Over the Road (OTR) Dispatch: Manage plan for next 2 - 5 days of dispatch loads and plan OTR drivers accordingly Work with Mountain Home, ID based OTR drivers to plan and manage dispatch loads Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and customers, update shipments as needed, and complete shipments from pickup to delivery Broker overflow work that cannot be managed by MCT Fleet Drivers Work with other Marathon Cheese Corporation departments such as Procurement, Purchasing, Distribution, and Customer Service to ensure smooth flow of product in and out of production facilities Complete necessary updates within TMW Dispatch system to remain DOT legal and compliant such as FedMed card updates and renewals Enforce MCT policies and procedures as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations including DOT regulations Monitor and enforce safe work practices for all drivers Any additional duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent required Ideal candidate will have 3 or more years' work experience in dispatch or transportation Experience in an office setting with proficiency in utilizing basic office equipment including multi-line phone systems, computers and printers is strongly preferred Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Communication - Ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing Problem solving skills - required to make reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out Empathy & Patience: Understanding external and internal customer needs and maintaining a calm demeanor Attention to detail Ability to prioritize Sense of urgency and action oriented Team oriented - willingness to cross-train within department and provide back-up and coverage for PTO Experience using TMW Dispatch Systems, PeopleNet ELD platform, and/or PC Miler a plus Proficiency with Microsoft products: Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint is required, experience in other web based programs is preferred
