We are seeking a
proven, results-driven General Manager
to lead our Suntrup Buick GMC location in St. Peters, MO. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all dealership operations, driving profitability, building a strong team culture, and upholding the Suntrup legacy of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all dealership operations including sales, finance, service, and parts departments.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve volume, profitability, and CSI goals.
Lead, motivate, and develop department managers to achieve operational excellence and accountability.
Manage dealership financial performance including forecasting, expense control, and gross profit objectives.
Maintain manufacturer relationships, ensure compliance with OEM standards, and achieve factory objectives.
Drive a culture of exceptional customer service, ethical business practices, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, train, and retain high-performing team members.
Oversee inventory management, pricing strategy, and marketing initiatives.
Review monthly financial statements, departmental reports, and key performance indicators to identify growth opportunities.
Represent the dealership within the local community and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of automotive retail experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager
(GM, Managing Partner, or equivalent leadership position).
Proven track record of achieving sales and profitability goals in a high-volume dealership environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
In-depth understanding of dealership financial statements, OEM reporting, and industry compliance requirements.
Ability to create and sustain a positive, performance-driven culture.
Experience with CDK, Dealertrack, or similar DMS systems preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred (not required).
