We improve lives About This Position We are currently searching for a dynamic professional to support the implementation of certain internal proposals to gain efficiencies in the supervision of portfolio transactions in IDB Invest’s S&I Countries*, initiatives that will be expanded to the entire portfolio with the goal of maintaining a sustainable portfolio. Where S&I Countries means Barbados, Belize, Guyana, The Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Suriname and Haiti.

The Position’s Main Responsibilities

Develop a work plan for the implementation, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. Coordinate and manage tasks of the Implementation Team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Monitor implementation progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion. Review and update portfolio supervision tools and manuals to integrate climate risk screening and resilience measures, ensuring alignment with IDBI climate targets and coordination with CLE and RSM. Ensure proposals adhere to established IDB Invest and industry standards and methodologies. Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders. Ensure that the tasks are completed on time and within budget. Facilitate meetings and coordinate presentations to drive implementation progress. Prepare deliverable materials, collect feedback, review and finalize materials. Ensure quality assurance and execution of proposals. Provide training and support to team members as needed.

What You’ll Need

Education: An advanced degree (at least Master’s, MBA, or equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Development Studies, or another field. Experience: Five (5) years as project manager with relevant experience in financial institutions or implementing efficient strategies in such institutions. Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

Washington DC: No requirements Barbados, Belize, Guyana, The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, or Jamaica: You are either a citizen of one of these countries or with residency or legal permit to work in one of these countries. Must be eligible to work in job location(s) without the need for sponsorship.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

Washington DC: International consultant Full-Time, 12 months. Barbados, Belize, Guyana, The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, or Jamaica: National consultant Full-Time, 12 months.
