A global investment firm is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Market Data Operations & Finance Analyst
to join its Market Data Operations team in
Miami . This is a
full-time, in-office position
on a
one-year contract . The role is critical in managing the financial and operational aspects of the firm’s market data services, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and effective expense management.
The ideal candidate will have
5–7 years of experience
in finance, operations, and market data accounts payable, with a strong understanding of
market data licensing, vendor management, accrual-based accounting, and financial analysis .
Key Responsibilities Market Data Financial Management
Manage market data financials, including monthly general ledger reconciliations, vendor payables, accruals, budgeting, forecasting, allocations, and expense tracking.
Analyze market data spend across vendors to identify opportunities for cost optimization and consolidation.
Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analyses for investment and support teams.
Perform subledger reconciliations to ensure expenses are accurately reflected on the general ledger.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate expense allocation across business units and trading desks.
Serve as the primary liaison for vendor accounts receivable teams (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE).
Oversee relationships with key market data vendors, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and service-level expectations.
Partner with vendors to resolve issues related to contracts, renewals, invoices, and users.
Monitor vendor performance and resolve billing or service discrepancies.
Identify cost-reduction opportunities and vendor consolidation strategies.
Provide insights into evolving data needs aligned with business growth.
Accounts Payable and Invoice Management
Oversee processing and reconciliation of market data invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Maintain internal controls to validate invoices against contracts, usage, and entitlements.
Collaborate with accounts payable and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance.
Market Data Operations
Collaborate with Market Data Operations to ensure accurate tracking of entitlements, data usage, and allocations.
Develop and maintain processes for managing terminated users to control costs.
Support automation initiatives for expense reporting and entitlement tracking.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting market data expenses.
Compliance and Audit Support
Ensure compliance with vendor licensing and internal policies related to market data usage and regulations.
Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational and financial workflows.
