Overview

Position: Patient Service Coordinator - Maternal Fetal Medicine. Location: Hartford, CT. Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4 pm. This role provides outstanding and professional customer service to ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience. Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is a large multi-location practice with a wide range of specialties. This role supports patient intake, scheduling, and front desk operations across our network. Responsibilities

Warmly greet and register arriving patients. Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, evaluate priority, and direct calls according to urgency and subject matter. Schedule new patient appointments accurately and inform patients of essential preparation requirements prior to visit. Review daily Televox report of appointment confirmations to ensure accurate schedule and appropriate communications with patients. Collect co-payments and office charges as needed and explain office payment/billing policies to patients. Maintain a clean waiting environment by keeping the waiting area comfortable and orderly throughout the day. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office is highly preferred. Epic experience preferred. Positive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to excellent patient care. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to communicate in other languages is highly desirable. Strong computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office. Basic working knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to travel independently to satellite offices with or without advanced notice. Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements. Additional Information
