As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to support efforts on both concept and product development to deliver key solutions to our customers. We cover a wide variety of expertise within the systems engineering domain. This includes mission engineering, requirements, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, and verification and validation. This position can be based in Linthicum, MD or Rolling Meadows, IL. Primary Responsibilities
As the Payload Systems Engineer responsible for a subsystem, you will be the primary Point of Contact. The position will be responsible for supporting and leading systems engineering tasks for the subsystem. These tasks may include but are not limited to: Requirements analysis, derivation, and management Architecture and CONOPs development Model Based Systems Engineering Functional analysis Timeline analysis Technical planning Cost and risk analysis Interface definition Subsystem integration and test Verification and Validation planning and execution This position can be staffed at a Principal or Sr. Principal level, based on the basic qualifications below: Basic Qualifications
Principal Engineer:
Bachelor Degree in STEM curriculum with 5 years relevant experience; 3 years with MS Degree; or PhD with 0 years of experience. Sr Principal Engineer:
Bachelor Degree in STEM curriculum with 8 years relevant experience; 6 years with MS Degree; or PhD with 3 years of experience. Must have an active
U.S. Government DoD Top Secret
security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access. Systems engineering experience (i.e. requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, verification and validation). Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in Cameo Space experience Sensor/payload experience Active TS/SCI Primary Level Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
