Position Summary As an associate on nights, you’ll be on a team responsible for monitoring Walmart’s critical applications across stores and distribution centers. Your team will respond to incidents in real time, mitigate impact, and ensure system stability for the world’s largest retailer. This is a high‑visibility role where operational excellence directly impacts associates, customers, and business outcomes.

About Team Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.

What You’ll Do

Monitor applications to ensure system stability.

Manage major incidents and drive resolution to minimize business impact.

Oversee single‑site incident escalations and ensure timely communication.

Partner across teams to mitigate risks and maintain operational continuity.

Work a night shift, 5:00 pm – 1:30 am or similar variation.

What You’ll Bring

Proven incident management expertise in high‑volume, complex environments.

Experience with observability platforms (Grafana, Splunk, OpenObserve or similar).

Proficiency with ServiceNow or comparable incident/ticketing systems.

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area.

3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility, or virtualization related technologies.

Preferred Qualifications We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
