What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Conduct research and studies in support of rate designs, cost of service, pricing, and tariff filings
Analyze and provide technical expertise to the Rate and Regulatory Functions
Design electric and gas rate structures aligned with the employer’s business strategy
Prepare rate impact analyses and comparisons of rate realizations among utilities
Maintain and modify the Company’s cost of service model in alignment with utility infrastructure changes
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university
One or more years of experience in analyzing complex data
Understanding of electric and gas utility delivery systems
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Advanced skills using spreadsheet and database software applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Master’s Degree or active commitment to obtaining a Master’s Degree
Experience involving the application of utility tariffs and policies
Knowledge of ratemaking principles and cost-causation
Five years of experience in analyzing complex data for Regulatory Rate Specialist role
Seven or more years of utility or business project management related experience for Regulatory Consultant role
