As the National Account Manager for the Convenience Channel, you will lead the channel strategy, set vision and execute plans to achieve sales volume goals, and develop key customer relationships. Your role partners across brand marketing, finance, supply chain, and trade fund management to influence product portfolio success in the convenience channel. What You’ll Work On
Develop and implement business plans to grow the channel for customers and Abbott. Partner with preferred agency to identify opportunities for channel expansion and innovation. Maintain and develop customer relationships with clear communication across functions, business units, and regions. Communicate project updates, business performance, and proactively initiate corrective actions. Prepare and present plans to customers, acting as a consultant and strategic partner. Effectively manage trade deals to drive profitable business outcomes and positive ROI. Achieve identified monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales volume goals. Conduct internal and external business reviews to evaluate channel performance. Perform competitive market assessments and identify distribution opportunities. Manage third‑party brokers and agencies. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field. 6 to 8 years of experience within the convenience channel of trade. 6 to 8 years of direct sales and broker management experience in consumer product goods. Advanced customer relationship management within the assigned territory. In-depth knowledge of sales acumen, trade, category management, and marketing concepts. Ability to execute sales marketing strategies and assist in strategy development. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Analytical skills to evaluate market trends and develop presentations. Initiative to identify growth drivers and secure resources. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Nielsen tools. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities. Entrepreneurial mindset and strategic thinking. Travel 50‑60%; flexible location within the West, USA. Benefits & Compensation
