Field Services Engineer III

Overview This remote position requires up to 75% travel to collaborate with customers and to ensure successful project completion. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, repair, and operational support of Medtronic equipment and integrated systems.
Responsibilities
Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.
Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software at customers and/or field locations.
Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate issues in minimum time.
Installs, upgrades, and removes products ensuring coordination with engineering field changes.
Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma and at least 4 years of technician, field service, or customer support experience.
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Engineering, or Technology.
Previous experience as a Technician/Field Service engineer within the medical device industry.
Experience with orthopedic anatomy, surgical protocol, and medical terminology.
Strong troubleshooting skills combined with technical expertise, creativity, and high discipline.
Familiarity with common test equipment such as dosimeters, power supplies, DVMs, signal generators, and flow meters.
Ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and CGMP for medical devices.
Excellent analytical and communication skills for conveying complex technical information in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
Responsive, action‑oriented problem solving and commitment to meeting customer requirements.
Experience with x‑ray systems, especially mobile fluoroscopy or CT systems.
Experience with robotics or motion control.
Benefits & Compensation The base salary range for U.S. employees (excluding Puerto Rico and California) is
$60,000.00 – $90,000.00 . Compensation includes:
