Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical / Electronics Engineer to support the implementation of selected product and technology upgrades to their Military Combat Vehicle Portfolio.
Position Description The Senior Electrical Engineer will specify and design components (including wiring harnesses and cable assemblies) from system, subsystem, or configuration item requirements and demonstrate through modeling, simulation, analysis, or testing that these requirements are met.
Primary Duties
Responsible for technical decisions that may impact project completion
Specify and design components from system, subsystem, or configuration item requirements and verify compliance through modeling, simulation, and testing
Prepare engineering documentation including specifications, ICDs, design documents, and technical / test reports
Develop and maintain complete technical data packages
Prepare cost estimates and schedules for assigned electrical design projects
Create and process Change Notices, Engineering Change Proposals, and Engineering Orders as required
Monitor procurement, manufacturing, and delivery of components to ensure project schedules are met
Guide drafters and designers in producing clear and releasable documentation
Provide regular status reports to supervisors, project engineers, and customers
Skills Required
Experience in military ground vehicle wiring harness and cabling design
Familiarity with electrical / electronic systems of military ground vehicles
Working knowledge of Visio Technical, Creo, or equivalent tools
Strong understanding of system, subsystem, and component specification development and verification processes
Knowledge of low voltage (28Vdc) power distribution and management (Solid State Power Controller / Programmable Power Controller)
Experience with vehicle signal management (sensor / transducer input / output signal management)
Smart Display Unit experience
Working knowledge of military electrical connectors and cabling specifications
Familiarity with SAE J1939 CANBus, MIL-STD-1553, 10 / 100, and Gigabit Ethernet protocols
Experience integrating military communication / antenna systems including BFT, SINCGARS, DAGR, and CREW2
Minimum of four (4) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or one (1) year with a Master’s degree
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent engineering degree / experience

Pay Range: $57.00 - $62.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
