Overview Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding. The Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization enables the hardware infrastructure underpinning growth, including AI. CSCP’s mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain, managing traditional supply chain functions as well as supportability, sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. Our infrastructure supports more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries across services including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) within CSCP manages business operations performance and supplies hardware to the datacenters. The focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

Responsibilities

Lead virtual teams to deliver infrastructure predictably based on customer needs.

Create methods and processes to collect critical data about deployments, progress, and dependencies.

Partner with Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities that increase capability to deliver milestones for deployments.

Collaborate with Capacity Planning and internal Capacity Management teams.

Engage with Planning teams to understand demand and deployment challenges to anticipate and solve them.

Develop understanding of hardware types being deployed and work with the supply chain to resolve issues.

Partner with process and reporting teams to develop actionable dashboards for daily and weekly triage of blockers.

Own metrics and analytics showing performance against goals.

Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and program/process improvements to drive better predictability across cloud offerings.

Demonstrate exceptional written communication and presentation skills.

Provide Engineering teams with business capabilities/use cases/scenarios to articulate clear business requirements aligned to our vision.

Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships and trusted partnerships across the Azure landscape.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 7+ years in supply planning/operations/supply chain/sourcing/manufacturing or related experience

OR Master’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years in supply planning/operations/supply chain/sourcing/manufacturing or related experience

OR equivalent experience

3+ years of proficiency in data analytics with experience in data management systems and tools such as SQL

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements. This includes the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, which will be required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related technical degree; MBA preferred

8+ years’ consulting and/or information technologies experience in a supply chain supporting hardware or software

Experience in project or program management and establishing/executing supply chain operational processes

Experience working with global, cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments

Experience in leading cross-functional teams for supply chain operations

Cloud/high-tech supply chain experience is a plus

Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Automation experience is a plus
