Role Summary Zurich North America is hiring a Security Engineering Analyst to join our team in Schaumburg. The role supports the execution of information security architecture initiatives by documenting, configuring, deploying, and maintaining moderately complex security technologies.
Key Accountabilities
Assist in the rapid execution of information security initiatives by maintaining an appropriate level of prioritization, focus and persistence
Assess the security posture of applications and infrastructure
Analyze internal security and business needs and contribute to development of software solutions with responsibility for the delivery of software applications, with limited guidance
Develop project plans for small projects or work streams of larger projects/programs and drive execution of these plans to ensure project success
Act as a project assurance representative and provide security subject matter guidance on security projects
Establish and maintain appropriate communication, engagement and escalation with stakeholders
Serve as a knowledge source for escalation of moderately complex application design and development issues
Contribute to the solution design (including metrics and measures) and implementation, including associated change management activities
Maintain project records in accordance with Zurich project management standards
Travel as required; extended hours and shift work may be required
Regular predictable attendance and visibility in the office as required
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of experience in Information Security, or
Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice certification and 4+ years of experience in Information Security, or
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of experience in Information Security AND solution engineering or security architecture experience
Experience working in information security transformation with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Information technology certifications: CISA, CISM, CISSP, Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, Palo Alto
Customer service experience
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Cloud engineering experience
Compensation Salary range: $81,800.00 - $133,900.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
