Overview Procurement Engineer Senior

You will be the Procurement Engineer Senior for the Upper Tier Integrated Air Missile Defense (UTIAMD) Global Supply Chain (GSC) team. Our team is responsible for reducing risk within the supply base and supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program.

Responsibilities

Supporting requirements management efforts and risk / opportunity management

Providing strategic sourcing support and identifying affordability opportunities

Creating and validating supplier capacity models

Participating in process improvement and corrective action activities, such as PFMEA and RCCA analyses

Supporting GSC operations team and various initiatives

Qualifications Basic Qualifications

Background / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar field. Considered an emerging authority.

Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Ability to interact with both internal and external customers

Experience working in a collaborative / team environment

Ability to analyze and organize supplier data for analysis purposes

Prior experience with procurement, supply chain and / or subcontracts

Desired Skills

LSS Green Belt or Black Belt certified

Experience with Process Simulator or other capacity analysis tools

Risk Management Experience

Experience in selecting and advancing suppliers

Ability to drive process improvements and / or root cause / corrective actions utilizing quantitative analytical methods

Statement of Work or Requirements writing experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour days, 3 days off per week
