Overview
RQC, LLC is a leading full‑service Design‑Build company headquartered in Carlsbad, CA, serving public and private clients with a primary focus on the Department of Defense market. We are looking for a Construction Quality Control Manager to join our West Coast Field Operations team for military/federal projects located in San Diego County.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and implement project‑specific quality control programs in accordance with contract requirements.
Execute quality control activities, ensuring timely completion of administrative documentation.
Cultivate customer satisfaction and align work with RQC’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Travel to onsite projects as required; the position must be performed on‑site.
Participate in safety and quality meetings, providing guidance to project teams.
Maintain quality records, report on QA/QC metrics, and recommend corrective actions.
Pay and Benefits Salary:
$100,000 – $145,000 annually (dependent on experience)
Fringe Benefits:
Vehicle Allowance, Medical/Dental/Vision benefits (UnitedHealthcare), Vacation/Sick/Holiday Pay, Bonus eligibility.
Qualifications
Graduate of a four‑year accredited college or university program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Construction, or Building Science (or equivalent experience).
Five to ten years of experience as a Project Manager, Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager, with at least two years as a QC Manager.
Current USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate (or equivalent) is required.
Specialty inspection training and relevant licenses/certifications highly desired.
LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate (GA) Certificate preferred.
Level 1 EM, 385‑1‑1, CRP, First Aid, OSHA 30‑hour certifications required.
Proficiency in Viewpoint/Vista software preferred; Microsoft Office proficiency required.
