Headquartered in Carlsbad, CA, we offer full‑service management of projects throughout the United States, specializing in fast‑track new commercial construction for public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

Position Construction Quality Control Manager

– Join our West Coast Field Operations team for military/federal projects located in San Diego County. The primary office assignment will be in Carlsbad, but assignments may be anywhere in San Diego County. The role requires onsite presence, relocation or travel as necessary.

Responsibilities QC Manager’s responsibilities include: planning, coordinating, and implementing a project‑specific quality control program; executing its performance according to contract requirements; completing administrative documentation on time; and cultivating customer satisfaction with the client, all in alignment with RQC's Mission, Vision, and Values. Local candidates will be given preference depending on the project location.

Pay & Benefits Pay:

$100,000‑$145,000 annually (depends on experience)

Qualifications

A graduate of a four‑year accredited college or university program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Construction, or Building Science. A combination of equivalent work experience and training may be qualifying.

Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager with at least two years of continuous experience as a QC Manager.

A current USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate (or equivalent) is required.

Specialty inspection training and licenses/certs highly desired.

LEED AP, AP+ or Green Associate (GA) Certificate preferred.

Level 1 EM 385‑1‑1, CRP, First Aid, OSHA 30‑hour certifications required (training can be provided).

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.

Specific software literacy (Viewpoint/Vista) preferred.

Required Background Checks All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire. Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check (for access to job sites at military bases if applicable for the position).
