Sr. XR Radiologic Technologist, Part-time This position is located at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Ramon.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of technical supervisor, the ARRT certified, California-licensed technologist performs radiologic procedures in assigned areas at a safe and technical level not requiring constant supervision.

Performs safe imaging procedures on all emergent, inpatient and outpatient age-specific populations.

Performs diagnostic procedures including basic radiographic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment in Outpatient/Inpatient, OR/Hybrid, ER, fluoroscopy and Endoscopy settings.

Maintains competency in advanced procedures such as arthrograms, myelograms, kyphoplasty, XLIFS, ESWL, ERCPs, HSGs, PNLs, scoliosis imaging and O-Ring and OR vascular procedures on an annual basis.

Processes radiographic exams and images on archival systems; submits high-quality images to PACS.

Participates in performance improvement activities; provides excellent customer service to patients.

Identifies patients correctly for procedures performed and associated images.

Follows Infection Control policies, radiation policies and good body mechanics.

Maintains continuing education credits; complies with Medical Center and Department policies and procedures.

Requires ARRT, CRT and California fluoroscopy license; new hires must obtain CRT license within 6 months and may start orientation before license; must obtain California fluoroscopy license within first 6 months.

May require weekday, weekend or holiday call depending on department needs.

Per diem employees must work at least an average of four shifts per month to maintain competencies and eligibility.

Qualifications

Graduate of a JCERT-accredited radiology technology training program.

Minimum of 3 years of work experience in practicing modality in an acute care setting.

Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.

Willingness to assist at any UCSF Medical Center Location.

ARRT licensure or ARRT-approved equivalent; CRT licensure; BLS certification; Fluoroscopy certification.
