Cleveland Clinic has a clinical staff opening for a Diagnostic Medical Physicist. Candidates must be American Board of Radiology Certified in Diagnostic Radiological and Nuclear Medicine Physics. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of a M.S. degree or equivalent in Medical Physics, Physics or a related discipline and have at least 3 years of experience. Candidates must also be eligible to secure an Ohio Certified Radiation Expert certificate.
Responsibilities
Evaluation, integration, quality assurance, and safe use of diagnostic imaging equipment.
Education of radiology and medical physics residents.
Clinical research related to radiation dose optimization and image quality improvement.
Knowledge, familiarity and experience with diagnostic imaging instrumentation, particularly equipment used in PET, Nuclear Medicine, and Computed Tomography.
Familiarity with radiation measurement instrumentation, electronic test equipment, radiation monitors, and dosimetry equipment (including ionization chambers and luminescent dosimeters).
Up to 25% overnight travel may be required.
Qualifications
American Board of Radiology Certified in Diagnostic Radiological and Nuclear Medicine Physics.
Minimum of a M.S. degree or equivalent in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in the field.
Eligibility to secure an Ohio Certified Radiation Expert certificate.
