Franchise Business Consultant, The Bar Method
Purpose Brands, parent company of Orangetheory Fitness, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, Basecamp Fitness, The Bar Method, and Stronger U, is seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our talented team as a Franchise Business Coach for The Bar Method on the East Coast Region. The position offers a flexible, remote work schedule with a blend of on‑site duties in Woodbury, MN, and travel across the region.
Job Summary As a Franchise Business Coach, you will directly impact the success of each Bar Method franchisee in your territory. You will provide consulting and coaching, develop and facilitate strategic initiatives for sales growth and profitability, and ensure consistency through education and guidance on in‑studio and multi‑unit operations. Successful coaches leverage their industry and business development experience to assess performance, identify opportunities, recommend solutions, develop action plans, and drive follow‑through.
Key Position Responsibilities
Monthly or weekly review of territory performance results by franchisees.
Assess and determine performance gaps, opportunities, and operational needs for franchisees.
Provide related recommendations, training, follow‑up, and general assistance to franchisees.
Collaborate with franchisees to establish action plans that drive revenue growth.
Follow up with written communication after each virtual meeting and in‑studio visit.
Monitor operational standards and report unacceptable performance to franchisees and corporate staff as necessary.
Support the adoption of Bar Method initiatives through influence and collaboration with franchisees.
Provide frontline and franchisee perspective in the identification and development of new initiatives, communication, and training.
Act as liaison between franchisees and corporate, ensuring effective communication flow.
Address urgent matters and travel outside regular business hours when required.
Lead or participate in ad‑hoc projects, committees, and initiatives as directed by leadership.
Facilitated Development
Collaborate with corporate teams to design customized training programs based on studio operations and staff development needs.
Identify and advance multi‑unit growth and performance optimization opportunities with corporate teams.

Required Job Qualifications
Extensive experience in coaching and/or leadership positions in a retail, service, or franchise environment within the fitness field.
Financial and business acumen, including proficiency in P&L statements, KPI reports, and MS Excel for budget and action‑plan development.
Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and adaptability to new technologies.
Ability to travel up to 50% and outside normal business hours.
Valid driver’s license and passport.
Preferred Job Qualifications
3+ years of experience in coaching or leadership positions in a multi‑unit retail, service, or franchise environment.
Experience in the fitness field, especially boutique studios or Barre experience.
Bachelor’s degree in business, service, finance, or related field.
