Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal SW Development Analyst – Global Integration SME (25-389) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is vital in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders across strategic, regional, and operational levels.

This position does not include relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.

Position Overview The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, providing an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Furthermore, C2BMC is a vital component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.

Essential Functions

Integrating JEMINI lab test suites into our development lab

Assisting software development personnel with investigating and resolving issues

Creating configurations to support testing and prototypes of developing systems

Developing and modifying scripts to analyze input, internal, and output message data

Troubleshooting issues in both testing and prototype phases

Developing troubleshooting procedures and workaround documents

Reviewing and providing feedback on system specifications, development, testing, and network documents as needed, and representing the Integration team

Automating scripts to configure and maintain remote hosts

Previous experience as a SW Tester/Integrator

Practical knowledge of DoD integration processes,

Agile

and

DevOps methodologies , and

automated testing tools

Working knowledge of virtualized environments and software testing

Experience in the integration of system components within a test environment

Familiarity with virtualized systems, security design, and implementation

Basic Qualifications Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree

Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued

Secret

security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the

ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance

Applicants must have a current active DoD 8140 certification at

IAT Level II or higher

(such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.), which is required to start

Extremely proficient in

Linux , scripting ( Bash ,

Python )

High-level understanding of automation and implementation

Highly skilled in troubleshooting methods

Proven experience with

Ansible

or other automation tools

Preferred Qualifications

A current, active in-scope DoD-Issued

Top Secret

security clearance at the time of application is highly preferred

Script experience is advantageous

Experience in developing scripts using Ansible

Knowledge of containerized virtual environments

Experience with

Windows Server

and

PowerShell scripting

Experience in setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases

Additional Northrop Grumman Information Primary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
