Overview
The client is looking for a highly organized and experienced SAP Project Manager, PMO to drive the successful execution of SAP-related projects within the established Project Management Office (PMO).
Responsibilities Project Planning and Execution: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and communication strategies. Manage project execution, ensuring tasks are completed according to the plan and PMO standards. Track project progress, monitor milestones, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation plans as needed.
PMO Adherence and Governance: Ensure all assigned projects adhere to the established PMO methodologies, standards, and processes. Utilize PMO tools and templates for project planning, tracking, and reporting. Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes and best practices. Participate in PMO meetings and provide project-related updates.
Stakeholder Management and Communication: Build and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external consultants. Facilitate effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders. Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or conflicts. Organize and lead project meetings, ensuring clear agendas and documented outcomes.
Resource and Budget Management: Manage project resources effectively, ensuring they are allocated appropriately and utilized efficiently. Track project budgets and expenditures, ensuring projects stay within approved limits. Identify and escalate any potential budget overruns.
Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements. Participate in quality reviews and testing processes as needed.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and issue logs. Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders and management.
Collaboration: Work closely with other Project Managers and PMO team members to share best practices and lessons learned. Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
8-10 years of experience managing SAP implementation, upgrade, or enhancement projects
Solid understanding of SAP modules and implementation methodologies (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Activate)
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
Proven ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines
Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, Microsoft Project, Jira)
Preferred Qualifications Experience in utility, energy, or regulated industry environments is a plus
PMP or other relevant project management certification
Experience working within a formal PMO structure
Knowledge of change management principles
