Associate Director, Enterprise Data Science

Join our client’s innovative team as an Associate Director in Enterprise Data Science and lead the charge in transforming data into strategic value. In this role within the INDIGO | AI Innovation Lab, you will spearhead the development of advanced data science capabilities, oversee impactful projects, and serve as a technical leader and mentor. Your expertise will drive the creation of cutting-edge solutions that empower our client's organization, particularly in the pharmaceutical and health-related industries. Based in Waltham with a hybrid work schedule, this is your opportunity to shape the future of data-driven healthcare innovations. Responsibilities

Design and deploy sophisticated analytical models and AI solutions, including natural language processing and GenAI applications. Lead programming efforts using Python and SQL, with hands-on work with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and PyTorch. Leverage big data tools and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Dataiku, Snowflake) and apply data governance frameworks, including FAIR principles. Apply knowledge of ML algorithms, LLMs, statistics, and MLOps practices for scalable, production-ready deployments. Lead the development of digital platforms and tools to enhance organizational efficiency and data accessibility. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex insights to senior leadership. Manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with a strong problem-solving mindset. Qualifications & Skills

Demonstrated proficiency in designing and deploying sophisticated analytical models and AI solutions, including NLP and GenAI applications. Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL with hands-on experience using libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and PyTorch. Familiarity with big data tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Dataiku, Snowflake) and knowledge of data governance frameworks including FAIR principles. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, LLMs, statistical analysis, and MLOps for scalable deployment. Proven ability to lead the development of digital platforms and tools that improve data accessibility and organizational efficiency. Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and communicate insights to senior leadership. Robust problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Education & Experience (Preferred)

Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field; Ph.D. highly regarded. 5–7 years of proven success delivering impactful data science solutions, with leadership and mentorship experience. Other Requirements

Ability to work on a hybrid schedule in Waltham, MA. Relevant certifications or experience with healthcare data governance regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA). Equal Opportunity
