Duties and Responsibilities This position is responsible for processing the Bureau of Motorist Compliance data analytics and serves as the bureau’s data analytics subject matter expert. This position will provide planning and support to the bureau’s data integrity analysis and analytical studies; lead and coordinate teams to support data initiatives and provide various statistical reports to leadership; maintain tracking measures; research and analyze systems to provide recommendations and implement process improvements. This position will also be responsible for drafting all Legislative Bill Analysis and any Business Requirement Documents for Legislative implementation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to perform independent research and compile reports

Ability to effectively communicate with groups

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external customers. Ability to work independently

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Sharepoint and Tableau

Ability to be flexible in daily scheduling and tasking

Knowledge of basic office processing

Knowledge of Florida Traffic Law and Division Policy and Procedures

Ability to analyze and evaluate office processing workflow

Ability to correctly interpret the Florida Driver License Record

Ability to supervise, train, and instruct personnel on use of established agency systems such as DAVID and Crash database

Ability to write business requirements (Work Request and Prioritization aka WRAPS) for system enhancements, bugs, and maintenance

General Information

The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.

Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. Fingerprints and associated information/biometrics will be retained in the FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and fingerprints may continue to be compared against fingerprints submitted to or retained by NGI.

FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
