Job Summary

Our client, a real estate services firm, are looking to add an experienced Senior Property Accountant to manage 3rd party-ownedindustrial and office properties. About the opportunity :

The Senior Property Accountant will oversee the financial management ofmultiple 3rd-party entities,ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes while giving their clients an exceptional experience. Role responsibilities :

Review budgets, revenues, expenses, purchase orders, invoices, and other accounting documents to complete month-end close for properties, resolving discrepancies as needed. Prepare and enter journal entries, including accruals, deposits, and reclassifications. Perform bank reconciliations, process check deposits, book cash transfers, and approve resident refunds. Calculate and record monthly GAAP depreciation and amortization. Analyze revenue and expense trends against the budget, ensuring expenditure control, and prepare variance explanations. Prepare supporting schedules for monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses. Compile and analyze financial information for lenders and investors on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Assist property management with annual budget preparation for assigned accounts. Communicate with on-site and other property managers to support pre-close and close activities, answer questions, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes. Complete additional financial, accounting, and administrative tasks as assigned. Requirements :

7+ years of accounting experience required Yardi or other property accounting software experience Four-year degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field is preferred Ability to work fully on-site for the first year
