Overview
The HVAC technician is a position in the Facilities Management department that requires significant experience in HVAC maintenance, repair, or installation. The HVAC Technician II will preferably be actively pursuing a formal licensure or working in a formal apprenticeship. Regardless of specialty, an HVAC Technician II may be required to perform other maintenance tasks as needed, such as minor repairs or assisting with other projects. Shift:
Mon to Fri 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
Background:
Looking for someone with background in Refrigeration; a certification in refrigeration (EPA-608) highly preferred. Base pay range
$28.00/hr - $42.00/hr Essential Functions
Responsible for the maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Performs routine to moderately complex maintenance and inspections, diagnosing and repairing issues, ensuring all systems are operating efficiently and effectively. Works with a variety of systems and equipment, including boilers, chillers, air handlers, and control systems. Works with little supervision or with minimal support from outside contractors. Skills

Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs. Frequent interactions with customers requiring clear communication of alarms, needs, and issues. Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment; includes frequent computer, phone, and cable setup and use. Ability to lift and move equipment; may work on hands and knees and bend to set up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, with varying weights. For roles requiring driving: ability to drive a vehicle and read signs and signals. Bending, lifting, stooping, crawling, sitting, walking, climbing. Use of hand and power tools; use of hearing and eye protection. Exposure to extreme temperatures; work in noisy or constricted spaces; exposure to odors and smells. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Experience as an HVAC technician. Demonstrated abilities in the listed skills. A valid driver license may be required for this position. Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. Preferred Qualifications
