Environmental Health and Safety Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing
Assist in monitoring and coordinating health and safety programs, including safety inspections, accident investigations, and safety training.
Promote employee health and safety by implementing procedures, metrics, campaigns, and programs to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses and enhance the overall site safety culture, resulting in management engagement, employee involvement, and the reduction in unsafe conditions and behaviors.
Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
Ensure timely reporting and investigations into all work-related incidents and ensure corrective action has been identified and implemented.
Evaluate machinery, equipment, and their usage for safety and related risk.
Prepare and deliver training on safety procedures, laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and the use of safety equipment.
Inspect and audit facilities for potential safety concerns, including industrial hygiene, and report findings to management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Develop and implement best practices leading to continuous improvement and creating a winning safety culture.
Communicate the organization’s emergency plans and participate in required drills.
Understand and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal occupational health and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and two years of relevant work experience or 10 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
What Sets You Apart
Toyota Production System and 5S experience.
Professional HSS Certifications (ASP, CSP, CIH)

This is an in-person role located at our Greene, NY office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary
- $73,800 - $105,083 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
Relocation : This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
