Job Title: Procurement Category Manager

Procurement Category Manager is to acquire machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services essential for the operation of an establishment. This role involves purchasing goods and services for the organization and ensuring that all acquisitions meet the company's quality and cost standards.

Responsibilities

Review and optimize suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, and availability.

Approve purchases of high-quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct quantities.

Approve purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.

Instruct staff on resolving issues related to undelivered goods.

Guide staff on negotiation, renegotiation, and contract administration with suppliers and vendors.

Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective actions.

Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience in procurement or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field.

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals, and other technical data.

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in supply chain management.

Positive attitude, customer service, and collaboration skills.

Drive to support a large organization and willingness to be hands-on with tasks.

Experience in construction materials management, procurement for data centers, or as an electrical equipment buyer is considered an advantage.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $39.00/hr.
