Implementation Engineer Lead – Process Focused (Manhattan Active WMS/OMS) Location: Remote / 60–75% Travel Required (North America) Salary range: $120K- $140K/yr YOUR ROLE As the Implementation Engineer Lead – Process Focused, you will play a critical leadership role in designing and standardizing operational processes that align with Client lean warehousing principles and Manhattan Active WMS/OMS capabilities. You will lead a team of Process-Focused Implementation Engineers in defining, optimizing, and deploying efficient workflows across inbound, outbound, and inventory operations. This position requires strong industrial engineering acumen, process improvement expertise, and the ability to bridge operational needs with system functionality to deliver measurable performance improvements and deployment success. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Process Leadership & Design Lead the design and continuous improvement of standardized operational workflows for warehouse and order management operations, ensuring alignment with Manhattan Active WMS/OMS functionality. Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and drive process efficiency. Develop standard labor models, process maps, and engineered standards for recurring warehouse activities. Ensure that operational process designs support scalability, flexibility, and Client 3PL customer diversity. Implementation & Deployment Support Oversee the Process-Focused Implementation Engineering team throughout deployment phases, ensuring that process requirements are captured, validated, and accurately reflected in system configuration. Partner with Super Users, IT Configuration teams, and Operational Leaders to validate functional fit during QA and UAT testing. Support deployment readiness by ensuring alignment between process design, training materials, and system work instructions. Drive lessons learned and best practices documentation for continuous improvement across sites. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with the Deployment Program Director, Operations Implementation Engineering, and Training teams to ensure process and system integration readiness. Partner with customer IT teams and operational leads to ensure alignment of process and system capabilities. Lead workshops and design sessions with site leadership and engineering teams to validate workflows and identify performance improvement opportunities. Manage, coach, and develop a team of Process-Focused Implementation Engineers. Build a culture of analytical rigor, operational excellence, and knowledge sharing across the deployment team. Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, and methodologies for process and SOP development. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field required. 7–10 years of experience in warehouse engineering, operations design, or process improvement, ideally within a 3PL, distribution, or fulfillment environment. Proven experience leading WMS/OMS design and deployment, preferably with Manhattan Active or equivalent Tier 1 systems. Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams through major technology or operational transformations. Hands-on experience developing engineered labor standards, process mapping, and warehouse layout optimization. Strong foundation in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Advanced proficiency in process modeling and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, AutoCAD, and MS Office). Deep understanding of warehouse operational flows, performance metrics, and productivity levers. Exceptional leadership and communication skills; able to influence across operations, IT, and customer teams. Highly organized and adaptable, with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Willingness to travel up to 75% across North American deployment sites.
