Iuvo Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Senior Accountant
with a strong background in government contracting (GovCon) and hands‑on experience using
Deltek Costpoint
and
Sage
accounting systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and compliance in all aspects of accounting, reporting, and financial management while supporting continuous improvement of processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and perform full-cycle accounting functions, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end and year‑end close activities.
Oversee project accounting, including setup, funding, indirect rates, and cost allocations in Deltek Costpoint.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and other federal regulations applicable to government contractors.
Support and prepare Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and other audit‑related documentation.
Collaborate with program managers to monitor project profitability, revenue recognition, and contract billing.
Process and reconcile fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Utilize Sage for supplementary accounting functions, financial reporting, and data analysis.
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within financial systems and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a GovCon environment.
Strong working knowledge
Sage
(required) and
Deltek Costpoint
(preferred).
In‑depth understanding of GAAP, FAR, DFARS, and CAS requirements.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
