Overview
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Payroll Specialist job for the corporate office located in Alameda, CA. This position is 100 percent in-office. The ideal candidate will have experience processing a weekly union payroll using the UKG payroll software platform. The role will report to the payroll manager and partner with the other payroll specialist.

Responsibilities
Manage the payroll email inbox and respond in a timely manner
Maintain an ongoing Excel spreadsheet with requests and resolution tracking
Enter 1 time payments for stipends
Run various reports
Manage I-9s from completing forms and reviewing documents
Data entry, filing, and assisting with other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
Union payroll experience is required
Comfortable with a weekly fast paced payroll
Software experience with UKG and Kronos is highly preferred
Strong customer service and communications skills (written & verbal)
Team player, able to work independently, and enthusiastic
Reliable, a can-do positive attitude, and meets deadlines
Detail-oriented, a problem-solver, and organized
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
Experience & Employment Type Experience: 3 years of payroll experience (Payroll Specialist, Payroll Technician, Payroll Clerk, Payroll Administrator)
Employment Type: Temp to Hire
Compensation Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
