Litigation Paralegal – Hybrid | Washington, DC
Our client, a highly respected law firm with a 70‑year legacy in advocating for employees, benefit plans, labor organizations, and progressive nonprofits, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Washington, D.C. office. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high‑impact cases while working alongside attorneys dedicated to advancing workers’ rights nationwide.
The Litigation Paralegal will provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation — from initial investigation and case filing through trial and post‑trial matters. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, team‑focused, and comfortable managing complex cases in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars.
Cite‑check, Bluebook, proofread, and prepare legal filings for submission.
Review and interpret local rules, standing orders, and filing procedures.
Coordinate eDiscovery and document management (ESI collection, review, and production).
Assist with deposition preparation and trial support, including exhibits, subpoenas, and witness files.
Conduct factual research and analytical work to support litigation strategy.
Provide in‑court assistance during trial proceedings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm setting.
Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and e‑filing systems.
Experience with Relativity, Reef Review, or West Case Notebook preferred.
Familiarity with Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, and PACER for legal research.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation & Schedule:
Salary:
$72,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience.
Hybrid schedule:
3 days onsite in downtown D.C., 2 days remote (after probationary period).
